This is a digital re-purposing of the 1993 UK released compilation which contained a lot of the great Posh Boy classics like Amoeba from the Adolescents, Wild in the Streets by the Circle Jerks, Everything Turns Grey by Agent Orange and many more seminal California punk groups.
The full album available elsewhere has 25 tracks.
We have included 9 emphasis tracks here, all of which you are welcome to enjoy gratis.
We've added some sensational new recordings to go with the
classics, the common denominator being involvement with the Posh Boy label over the years.
Johnette Napolitano is here with her haunting version of the Gleaming Spires' song "While We Can". It has taken 35 years since our first meeting for this release!
The Zapps is Jessica Reynoza's new band; she was in The Willowz which spawned the groups Guards and Cults. Another female group I've included that I worked behind the scenes with are the Italians, Funky Lips with lead singer Roberta Bacciolo, a now highly successful jazz vocalist. There's a track from Specimen from their stay in the mid 1980s in California.
Summing it all up is "Sex Girls", the poignant version of a Posh Boy classic sung by Les Bohem.
Many classic tracks have been re-mastered, most notably the closing cut, "I Didn't Know" the Mike Magrann penned masterpiece from Channel 3.
